WORKING FOR YOURSELF!

as many of you may know working for yourself has its ups and downs. You get the pleasure of knowing that you are giving the service that you would like to receive, the love in the product that you are selling as you have so much passion for it. You also know that it’s lovely to have some time off and it’s really hard to shut off in that time.

This weekend I took a whole bank holiday weekend off and it was absolutely lovely! Time with family and friends was just what I needed, however I managed to fall down the steps on a coach at the weekend and I have ripped the ligaments in both ankles 🙈
i’m so thankful and grateful that I have such lovely people that have sent such lovely messages where are you are friends family or customers I love you all! Thankful for my mum who is going to step up and help at work.

The reason for this post is to let you know that we will be running less hours as I have to rest up in the afternoons but with the great service that you have always received. You can still order online or give me a call and we will get those orders out for you. I will currently be sitting in the flower van making your beauties for somebody else to deliver to you.

haven’t small business awards is coming up. They have a category called “green business of the year” i’m so excited as this is everything that we work for!

Here’s a few things of what we do to help save the planet!

💐Our flowers are wrapped in recyclable tissue and paper
💐We use either raffia, string or ribbon that is reusable (no plastic)
💐We use zero plastic, plant based sellotape
💐All wax melts, chocolate wrappers and cake boxes are biodegradable
💐Our candles come in glasses with basil seeded dust covers to plant after use, presented in a reusable canvas bag
💐Our flower food come in a biodegradable packet
💐All plastic and glass vases used and sent out on orders are made from recycled materials
💐Our cards are made from recycled card/paper
💐We offer bee bombs and seeded gift cards that grow wild flowers to help save the bees (packaged in biodegradable materials)
💐Any offcuts are used to wrap the smaller token wraps or spring wraps
💐We do our deliveries in one round route a day to ensure that less fuel is used

My goodness the Mother’s Day weekend really threw me! I was completely knackered. Never have I ever worked so hard. The whole family was on site to help and it was non stop so I just want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to you all!

I, for one, thought that night feeds were going to be the hardest part but as they grow older they just bring a new set of problems but we face them strong and brave and always with love in our hearts.
